Dubbed Space Key and developed in collaboration with an unknown artist the project is built on a piece of advanced carbon fiber composite material that was shipped to the International Space Station for research purposes.

The product was developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm).

Lamborghini, the Italian supercar manufacturer is making its first step into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The new project, called the Space Key, is a work of art created by a lone artist. The carbon fiber has been 3D printed to create the base of each Space key lamborghini aventador, which is connected to an exclusive, digital artwork using an QR code on the back of the key. Just five Space Keys have been produced.

It's called the Space Petron key to Lamborghini, it consists of five items that unlock a unique digital artwork NFT by a yet-to-be-identified artist. Created in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm), the 'collector's piece' is limited to five units and will soon be auctioned off.

Each Space Key contains a block composed of a carbon-fire composite material. It was sent to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth, the block was engraved using a QR codes that link to the digital element in the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a distinct moment that occurs only seconds apart as the lamborghini key replacement Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Each of the five images was captured by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner utilized an inflatable camera with a lens to capture the individual images, which were later combined into the final photo.
